I was fortunate to attend the official opening of the third Canadian Cartier outlet, the largest in Canada, located in Yorkdale Mall. There's a second Toronto location on Bloor as well as a store in Vancouver, BC.

It was a classy affair with cute bellhops at every turn. The appetizers were also quite good and I had a lovely, yet brief, conversation with celebrity chef Mark McEwan, who took the time to circulate amongst the guests.

The "JUSTE UN CLOU" line is simple, yet elegant. For those who don't speak French, 'clou' means nail and the whole collection of rings and bracelets are in the shape of nails. I found the plain set to be quite stunning but if you're searching for some bling you can choose to have the side of the nail-head encrusted with a ring of diamonds.
