On Thursday, May 10th, 2012, New Balance Canada and Strut Entertainment threw a send-off party for our two Canadian Olympic Marathoners, Eric Gillis and Reid Coolsaet. This is the first time since 1996 that Canada has sent marathoners to the Summer Olympic Games and coincidentally, the send-off happened on the same day the Olympic Torch was lit. Guests in attendance were given a pair of limited edition New Balance 890 Canada running shoes, available to the public starting Canada Day 2012.
